Intervention type:DEVICE,PROCEDURE Name of intervention:Low-intensity Muscle Strengthening Exercise Using the Cold Skin Stimulation Method Dose form / Japanese Medical Device Nomenclature:DEVICE skin cooling device Route of administration / Site of application:TRANSDERMAL Dose per administration: 25 degrees centigrade Dosing frequency / Frequency of use:BIW 12 Planned duration of intervention:6 weeks Intended dose regimen:Patients with " fixed temperature " pad on the targeted femoral hamstring muscles bilaterally sat in the chair and the knee flexion exercise was started at a knee joint angle of 60 degrees and extension exercise at 120 degrees. The elastic bands were attached to patient's ankles for added resistance. The elastic band resistance was adjusted appropriately for the exercise: 0% MVC when the knee was bent 60 degrees and 30% MVC when it was bent 120 degrees. After three weeks, MVC was measured again, and MSE elastic band resistance was readjusted accordingly. Exercise keeps one cycle taking 5 seconds. One set consists of 25 repetitions. Two sets for each leg. detailes of teratment arms: Comparative intervention name:older OAK patiens that required the transportation to training facility Dose form / Japanese Medical Device Nomenclature:DEVICE skin cooling device Route of administration / Site of application:TRANSDERMAL Dose per administration: 25 degrees centigrade Dosing frequency / Frequency of use:BIW 12 times Planned duration of intervention:6 weeks Intended dose regimen:Patients with the pad of the cold stimulator icing system on the targeted femoral hamstring muscles bilaterally sat in the chair and the knee flexion exercise was started at a knee joint angle of 60 degrees and extension exercise at 120 degrees.
