Key inclusion & exclusion criteria	Inclusion Criteria	Primary research question 1) An index date exists within the period from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2025. Secondary research question 1) An index date exists within the period from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2025. 2) A diagnosis of metastatic cancer (ICD10 code: C77, C78, C79) is present within three months before or after the index date. Exploratory research question 1) There are index dates within the period from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2025.
	Exclusion Criteria	[Primary/Secondary research questions] 1) During the period from the start of observation to the index date, there is a medical procedure of partial nephrectomy (ICD10 code: K769-00, K769-02, K769-03), nephrectomy (ICD10 code: K772-00, K772-02, K772-03), or surgery for malignant tumors of the kidney (ICD10 code: K773-00, K773-02, K773-03, K773-05). [Exploratory research question] 1) None.

Primary Outcome(s)		The number and percentage of patients who underwent nephrectomy after first-line treatment The number and percentage of surgical complications after nephrectomy for patients who underwent nephrectomy after first-line treatment Length of hospital stay after nephrectomy, calculated as the duration from the date of nephrectomy to the date of discharge for patients who underwent nephrectomy after first-line treatment
Secondary Outcome(s)		Overall survival for patients who underwent nephrectomy or did not undergo nephrectomy during/after first-line treatment The number and percentage of patients who received treatment after nephrectomy after systemic therapy Duration from initial prescription to nephrectomy after systemic therapy
