Engages in physical exercise at least twice per week

No prior experience in competitive cycling

No musculoskeletal injuries that could interfere with the repeated sprint cycling performed in this study at the time of participation

Agreement to refrain from resistance training involving the lower extremity muscles on the day before the experiment and to participate in the experiment without performing any exercise on the day of the experiment

Agreement to maintain their usual dietary habits throughout the study period

No diseases associated with difficulty in stopping bleeding once bleeding occurs

No fear of needles or injections

No alcohol hypersensitivity

Participants is healthy adults.

Repeated sprint cycling (7 sets of 10-s maximal-effort pedaling with 30-s rest intervals) is performed at one of five loads: 10%, 11%, 12%, 13%, or 14% of body mass.
