The study included 23 patients who underwent kidney transplantation at our institution (mean age, 50.4 years; 11 males and 12 females). All patients were 20 years of age or older and participated in perioperative rehabilitation with post-discharge follow-up and exercise guidance. Baseline physical function was classified using the J-CHS criteria as robust (n = 9), pre-frail (n = 6), and frail (n = 8). |
A 1-year follow-up from the preoperative to postoperative period was conducted, and early rehabilitation after kidney transplantation, spanning the perioperative phase through post-discharge, was feasible. However, due to postoperative changes in general condition, only a limited number of patients completed all scheduled assessments. |

Due to the small sample size and missing data, the planned statistical analyses could not be fully performed. |
Although a 1-year follow-up was conducted, few patients completed all assessments. Therefore, the planned statistical analyses could not be fully performed due to the small sample size and missing data. Nevertheless, this study established a framework for early rehabilitation after kidney transplantation. |
